PDX Jazz Festival gigs

The PDX Jazz Festival started last weekend and runs through this next weekend. This Friday, Feb. 20th I’ll be playing at the Tugboat with a sextet that I put together. This group will perform music from several of my ongoing projects, including some originals by Pere Soto from our Oasis CD, Lawrence Williams tunes, a few Lee Konitz compositions, a few obscure Monk tunes, and some tunes written by our pianist David Goldblatt.
The lineup is:
Pere Soto- guitar
Max Ribner- trumpet
David Goldblatt- keyboards
Dan Schulte- bass
Todd Strait- drums
and myself on saxophone.
The next night on Saturday, Feb.21st I’ll be doing a duo with guitarist Pere Soto, also at the Tugboat.
Shows start at 8pm and the cover is $5.
